Over two weeks ago I damaged my knee while running. I have been applying compression and ice and the swelling hasn't gone done. It's painful to walk on and makes it difficult for me to pick up my kids, it's not an emergency but I'd like to see a doctor but the receptionist has decided she is medically trained enough to say I have to wait over a week to see a doctor. This whole process for booking an appointment is a total joke, what am I to do? Wait another week before seeing a doctor and stay in pain or go to A&E? This is NHS money that to doctors surgeries are wasting!

The place is a joke, one receptionist on the desk and ten others in the room behind painting and filling their nails, most of the gp's are rude

Trying to get an appointment is like trying to get blood from a stone! It's not an emergency so I won't get a telephone consultation! I won't go to A&E because it's not urgent! But having to wait four weeks to see a doctor is a joke! A few years ago I dislocated my knee and had to go to A&E, I received a letter in the post from the surgery questioning why I went to the hospital and not to the surgery!? Awful!

It depends on which Doctor one sees. The reception staff are usually friendly and helpful.

I am unable to get to the Surgery but a receptionist made a request to a Doctor to ring me which he did within half an hour and he arranged for a subscription to be delivered which it was within three hours and told me if it was not helpful to ring again within three days. I could not mark the state of the surgery because I did not attend but know it to be very clean from previous visits
